Maybe it’s the Full Moon in Virgo illuminating pieces of my birth chart but I’m laying here at the wee hours of Friday at six in the morning thinking of Belonging.
What a concept. Belonging, that is. A noun to mean “an affinity for a place or situation” or “a feeling of being happy or comfortable as part of a particular group.”
It’s a feeling that can be felt on a micro, meso, and macro level. We find Belonging in our families. We find Belonging in our friend groups and romantic relationships. We find Belonging in our community and our environment. We find Belonging in socio-political institutions (school, church, political parties). We find Belonging in the whole of the World.
